Prevalence rates of both intimate partner violence and gun violence remain pervasive. Research demonstrates a lethal association when intimate partner violence and firearms are combined.

Domestic Violence Victimization in the US:

In a 2016/2017 national study, almost 1 in 2 women in the U.S., and about 40% of men, report having been subjected to contact sexual violence, physical violence and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime.
